I believe that we being a young in terms of the number of puppies per year husky kennel should show more of our acomlishments achieved on the world dog show arena.
It seems that now our Mitya - Hakuna Vota Yosemite (Mitya), is the only Siberian husky (among bitches) that I know in Ukraine among ukrainian breeding, who has so many titles and acomplishments under the expertise of very influential people in the husky world. These people, in fact, make the current history of our breed (Siberian husky). Also, they are directly related to the influental old-timers of the Siberian husky breed world.
Those judges the breed specialists are:
Anne Palmer (Highlander's husky kennel, AKC judge and the Siberian husky Breeder Exhibitor Fancier Working Eduction at SHCA), Tomas Shonberger (TouchMeNot husky kennel and AKC judge), Donna Beckman (Goldbear husky kennel, AKC judge), Shilon Bedford (AKC judge the malamute breed specialist), Paul Willhauck (AKC judge), Wendy Willhauck (AKC judge), Mirjana Prpic (Siberian Lady husky kennel, FCI judge), Nancy Russel (Storm Kloud malamute kennel, AKC judge), Bruce Barnes (Zvezda husky kennel, AKC judge), Guido Schafer (Hightower's husky kennel, FCI judge), Sheryl Patterson (CKC judge, a malamute breed specialist), Cindy Stansell (AKC judge), Marcelino Pozo Ruiz (FCI judge), Sanja Vretencic (Icily's husky kennel, FCI judge), Augustin Ionescu (Wolf Point husky kennel, FCI judge), and many more of various judges
In my opinion, this is something to be proud of. Because every breeder strives to take a dog of his own "production" under the expertise of a breed judge, and get a rating of no lower than "Excellent". And when, in addition to the desired Excellent, you also get the Class Winner, either the Best Male or the Best Female. And what's more, the highest award - to get Best of Breed! Then this is generally space. And with Mitya and I it happened under those judges (and not only under them) that are listed above.
It should also be noted that Mitya and I have been to such world-class exhibitions as WorldDogShow 2022(20) Madrid + Siberian husky Specialty, EuroDogShow 2023 Herning Denmark + Siberian husky Specialty, WorldDogShow 2023 Geneva, WorldDogShow 2024 Zagreb + Croatia Winner, EuroDogShow 2024 Celje Slovenia + Siberian husky Specialty.
Here, in each of these prestigious exhibitions, Mitya and I received the "Excellent" rating. At EuroDogShow 2023 Herning Denmark + Siberian husky Specialty - we received Best of Breed, At WorldDogShow 2024 Zagreb - we received Excellent 1 out of 18 class entires and took the reserve Best Female out of 100 bitch entries in the breed, and thus became the Reserve World Champion. At Croatia Winner 2024 - we also took Excellent and the best bitch No. 2 in tough competition with an incredibly thoroughbred and high breeding quality bitch, who became No. 1. And at the same time, Mitya also closed the Croatian Champion.
And then there was another prestigious exhibition EuroDogShow 2024 Celje Slovenia + Siberian husky Specialty. Here Mitya became Best of Breed at Siberian husky Specialty in Celje Slovenia 2024! And the next day at EuroDogShow 2024 Celje Slovenia - the same Mitya received the class winner (first out of 8 applicants) and the Excellent rating. And thus closed the Slovenian Champion.
In general, I must say that we really like and appreciate Monoporodny or Club exhibitions in different countries for breeds belonging to the group of Nordic Sledding. Such clubs are in Denmark, Germany, Italy, Poland, Austria, Hungary, France, Czech Republic, USA. Of all those, we were only at the Danish club, Italian, Austrian, Polish. Czech clubs of Nordic Sledding.
At all the listed exhibitions, Mitya received a class winner. For example, in the Czech Republic she took Best of Breed twice, 1 time Best In Show Specialty. In Austria - it was also an interesting weekend, because out of 3 club exhibitions in a row under 3 different judges, Mitya became Best of Breed, Best in Show once. At the second exhibition there - she became the best bitch. At the third - the Class Winner (having run 11 laps in comparison). And finally, as a summary of all the best representatives of the Best in Show winners for all 3 exhibitions in one weekend - Mitya became Supreme Best In Show!
When it was time to visit the Polish Club Show, we also showed ourselves worthy. We showed ourselves at the Best Bitch and at the Best of Opposite Sex. So, we also have a Danish Reserve Club Winner, twice Winner of the Czech Club, twice Winner of the Austrian Club, Winner of the Polish Club. Not to mention that we also have twice Winner of the European Husky Club. And there is also a Class Winner and Reserve CAC from the Italian National Mono-Prod Show of Siberian Huskies.
This is what inspires me to move forward and love my husky business even more, to appreciate the experience and knowledge that I have already gained, including thanks to the results of all the exhibitions that we have had the honor of attending, with the help of our Mita, Juna, Phoebe and Hakusa, and to strive for those sacred foundations that I have yet to learn and embody in the form of the future population of the Hakuna Vota husky kennel.
Someone will say that sockets and titles are not the main thing. But I will say that in order for a coded entry into the ring to end in victory and Best Of Breed, you need to have two components in good shape - the high quality of the dog itself in terms of anatomy, movements, temperament, brains, and also high-quality training. Because any successful show dog is an athlete, believe me. This is a lot of work in different directions, starting with breeding work and ending with mastering unnecessary emotions in moments of heavy stress, which is what a dog show actually is.
May fate help us go in our chosen direction and good angels protect us on this path 🙏
